With the 17th pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have selected Jordyn Adams, an outfielder out of Green Hope High School in North Carolina.
Jordyn Adams is an interesting case because not only is he now a first round pick in the MLB Draft, but he is also a five star wide receiver recruit with a commitment to play both football and baseball at University of North Carolina.
Adams is another guy that has speed as his best tool. A near perfect 75 grade on the 20-80 scale is amazing for Adams who projects to play center field at the big league level. He is an above average defender in the field and he possesses the upside of a guy that can hit 15-20 home runs with L.A.

He will be very difficult to sign, but the Angels would not have gambled on him if they did not believe they could sign him away from a UNC commitment.
Adams will fit nicely in the L.A system as he should jump to be a top 5 prospect and will be a solid guy in the system going forward.
